The former Indian Captain and Arjuna Award Winning Player, I.M. Vijayan popularly known as the 'Karutha Muth' is coming back to Malayalam Cinema. The most busiest Kerala Football Player in the past, returns to the Malayalam Film Industry after a break of three years. It was in 2008, he last appeared in the film 'Njan'.
I.M. Vijayan is currently doing two films-One in Malayalam and One in Tamil.The Malayalam Movie he committed is Kalabhavan Mani starrer M.L.A Mani-Patham Classum Gusthiyum. In this film he will also appeared in a dance sequence along with Mani in a beach song. The shooting of the film will start on Malayalam New Year,Chingam 1, which is coming on August 17. The Tamil Film he committed is Thekkuvasal directed by Ratheesh in which he will enact the villain role. " The shooting of the film started before 6 months and I was at Madhurai for about 15 days for the film. It will restart by next week", he said.I.M. Vijayan entered the film industry through Jayaraj's National Award winning movie Shantham which released in 2000. Later he did a total of 9 films including one Tamil, Thimiru.
