Unnam has Sreenivasan, Lal and Swetha Menon in important roles along with Asif Ali. Rima Kallingal is the heroine of Unnam. In an interesting note, this is similar to the case of Prithviraj, when he came to the industry. Director Padmakumar had three films in a row with Prithviraj namely Ammakilikood, Vargam and Vasthavam. The last one in that list gave Prithviraj a state Award.
