The most awaited flick of Megastar Mammooty, Bombay March 12 1993 released on June 30, 2011. This is the debut film of the famous story writer Babu Janardhanan whose earlier works include notable films like Vasthavam, Achanurangatha Veedu and Thalappaavu.  Movie lovers believed that the script writer will come with a good script that will surely end the thirst of Megastar for a hit this year. The earlier films of the star Doubles and Train were flops in the Box office. So, the superstar is eagerly awaiting for the release of this film. The film early slated for a release last week, shifted due to the release of Salimkumar's  National Award winning Movie Adaminte Makan Abu. Now the film is all set to release on this weekend.

The film has a big cast include Roma, Shari, Lal, Krishna, Sadiq and Arun Narayanan. The film based on incidents of Bomb blasts that take place on March 12, 1993 will tell the story of human lives that affected by this incident. The film which discussed the relevant message of patriotism, have Mammooty in multiple getups, about 5 different getups. The most 2 important characters the megastar is playing is that of a Brahmin pandit by the name of Sadananda Bhatt and a Muslim man by the name of Sameer. The film has songs sets tuned by Afsal Yusuf and penned by Rafeeq Ahammed and Ragesh Thivari. The movie also has one song Chakkara Mavin which is already a hit in the chartbusters sung by Bollywood Singer Sonu Nigam. You can download the Songs from Bombay March 12 here. Bombay March 12- May find it hard to be a success in the Box office

The film handling a serious, yet important subject seems to be a bit difficult to understand for the viewers if you don't concentrate in the whole film. The way the writer portrays the subject and the way the director handled the script could have been better. But the real message which the film carries rightly reached the audience in a big way. It should be noted that a real hardwork is there in the whole film from the debut director. From the first frame itself, the film shows the bomb blasts occurred on March 12, 1993 in Bombay and how it changes the lives of some poor peoples who do not involved in the incident. The film mainly focuses on the life three peoples played by Mammooty, Roma and debutant Unni Mukundan.

We don't want to appreciate our Mammookka with words like excellent, fantastic, mindblowing etc. He already proved his easiness in handling this type of roles in many films. The emotional expressions and feelings of Sameer aka Sadanantha Bhatt will makes you astonished. The role of Sameer is safe in the hands of Mammookka. Debutant Unni Mukund came with an excellent(he is a debutant, na ?) performance in his first film. I have no doubt that he will be here to play some good roles in Malayalam films. What to say about the performance of Roma who always criticized for the role she did. At last, she showed her talent in a film, yes, it is her career best performance till date. We can see a different Roma allthrough the film. Lal appeared in an extended cameo role also give good support to the film. The casting is simple and good that the film gets peoples who lived as the characters. The songs from the Movies are very good and well executed. Sometimes, they may feel as a big relief from the dragging of the film. The editing is OK, but could have been trimmed to avoid the dragging scenes. But in the current form also, the film is a one time watch.

In the boxoffice, the chances are rare to succeed these type of films. Also, the fans of the star may not like this movie who always liked to see their star in a larger than-hero role. But there are also good cine lovers including the fans who cares about good films. To those the film may appears to be a good one.

Rating: 2.7/5
Verdict: Watchable
